Where is the Clean Goddess when I need her scratch goofy went to Hallies today and purchased what can only be described as something that looks like bubble gum juice in a cheap spray bottle and he's threatening to use it on Oscar affraid

It's called Carplan Demon Shine - think it's just a demon in a bottle and I'm sure if it goes on it will streak, smear or worse ruin the decals, no convincing goofy though. I've told him we are going to follow Taylor's lead from now on and go for the good stuff, so what made him buy this heaven only knows.

Just need to know how to stop him using it on my poor unsuspecting, hiding in the garage Oscar.

Maybe I'm being just a tad melo dramatic, but is this stuff any good?????

That sounds like a plan Rob, think the only thing going to stop him is if Taylor cuffs him - trouble is he will probably like it Rolling Eyes

Still can't convince him not to use it, he thinks it will be just as good as the Dodo Red Mist - as if!!!!!! Getting even more scared now.

Well if you can't control him then you will have to just get a thick layer of wax on it berore he dabbles!
Threaten to cut his virtues off he tampers is another ploy of course!

Ello, ello, ello - Demon Shine ey?

Ok Cazz did he by the trigger spray or the bottle ?

basically this is NOT a quick detailer like DoDo Juice Red Mist - it essentially acts as a rinse aid - i.e. like a dishwasher - if you get the bottle (which is better) you dilute one capful with a bucket of water and mix, get a jug collect the water/demon shine from the bucket and pour it downwards i.e. windscreen - bonnet to promote water sheeting - and i have to say that it does it very well Embarassed it is much like DoDo Juice Time To Dry or SupaGuard Hydro-Coat Water Repellant Sachets. ( i alternate between the two love them both )

Link : http://www.dodojuice.com/time-to-dry-quick-detailer.html

Link : http://shop.supagard.com/cnb/shop/supagard?op=catalogue-products-null&prodCategoryID=1&title=Exterior

Now the only thing is .......................The shine that they highlight "lasts for weeks" DOES NOT Rolling Eyes whereas if you pay a wee bit extra and get DoDo or SupaGuard it does Wink

Also DoDo or SupaGuard are completely wax safe whereas CarPlan Demon Shine they recommend using a wash and wax before use of which we all know not all of them are great and to use them effectively you need to ensure you car is wax properly i.e. clay, cleanser etc etc etc and a few coats of wax.

If goofy got the dilution bottle its "O.K" but if its the spray one dont bother Rolling Eyes you spray it on the surface and it just does patches - the dilution bottle is better - if he did get the spray tell hime to dilute it in the jug instead of the bucket and do the pouring/sheeting technique Very Happy i dont advise rubbing it in unlike SupaGuard and DoDo though, just pour over.

DoDo Juice Red Mist ( ummm smells soo good) is a Detailer / quick sealant that creates a waterproof barrier and promotes MORE beading after you have finished doing the whole of the car Very Happy

Hope this Helps

scratch scratch

Helps to disperse vast amounts of water by promoting sheeting so that you only have to dry little bits left over Wink - i use the SupaGuard sachets then the air dryer ( or you can use a leaf blower ) - drying time cut down immensely

Thanks for this Taylor, it was the spray bottle. Think he is just going to use it on the other car (not worth mentioning on this forum) as that gets sadly neglected and is just grateful for a wash every now and then poor thing.

No hiding place in here Moley, Bolan's pics will soon be up for Taylor to inspect and arrest you for breaking the cleaning code of conduct. Which by my reckoning is at least worthy of a fine or worse allowing me to drive Bolan to get a feel for a pulley and intercooler???
