I'm going to admit now that I'm a bit poop at the whole cleaning thing. I can give it a wash ok, and a polish, but doesn't really seem to get rid of marks!!

So I'm thinking, to give myself a head start, are there places you can get it all done for you. I mean a really good proper clean, polish, wax, detail, inside and out, so I have a clean slate, so to speak, to start with?

Any help would be great, I really have no idea where to start!

Thanks,

James.

Detailing World

This is a good start James. There will be lists of recommended detailers broken down to areas. Some will come to you, others you will have to go to them. All of them will offer a service dependant on what you can afford. I certainly know a friend who used a service to get rid of her swirls as she was not impressed with her own efforts. Cost her about £180 ish and they said they would get rid of 80% of her swirls, she actually thinks they got rid of more and she was well happy with it. Was a whole day thing for this though.

Something like this would give you a really good starting point and they will probably give you tips to maintain the finish, but essentially you are looking at the 2 bucket method, lambs wool mitt, good shampoo, trying not to wash in circles, but straight lines etc.

Hope this helps! Very Happy

No worries! Very Happy I know that I have thought about the whole professional detailing things, but Jack's paintwork doesn't look too bad, so I am saving my pennies for other mods! Razz

Go to Magic Valet in Ascot its the dogs nuts heres the link :

http://www.valetmagic.com/

By the way im not associated with the company but my dad took his car there and he is excellent thats where the GP is going on Monday - for clean base and protection. look at his portfolio pics on there - especially the back ones.

Land Rover in Ascot take there demonstrator and Part exchange LRs to him as well as Lambo owners etc and the best part he is Zaino authorised
