The de-bossed MINI will be going white!! Planning on masking the whole cover off, then spraying the letters. Couple of coats then some lacquer should hopefully give a nice crisp finish! Very Happy

Think they would look great with the black/white theme! Very Happy

If they are the plastic covers make sure to key them with a good sanding.

Thanks rob, was wondering about this. How much do you do it? Will wet and dry do, or a sandpaper?

Wet and dry will be better as fine as you can get! Will you just be doing the lettering?

Excellent, have some of that still from the wiper arms! Very Happy

Yeah just the lettering. I'll mask the tricky bits with masking tape, cut to the right size with a scalpel, then the big bits with newspaper. Should do the trick! What about paint. Just a Halfrauds one be ok?

You want something hard wearing but also flexible! Halfords do some good Acrylic paint sprays in various colours!
A small pointer!
As you are spraying a masked area you will need to unmask it before it dries! Otherwise it will take the paint off where you want it to stay on!
The difficult bit is deciding on doing a coverage in two or three quick coats and whipping the masking off or remasking 2-3 times and spraying!
Your call James! Wink

is the plasti-kote stuff any good then? Good tip with the mask removal. I guess running a scalpel round the edges if it does dry could work?

Well you can try but you will have to take lots of care as I find cutting out always chips a little!
I think Plasticote should be ok not sure? look at the directions on the can to see compatabilities! Wink
I can't see a problem! Obviously you got a can to hand then?! So have a go! Very Happy

In my limited experience I think I'd go for 2 or 3 quick coats and then whip the tape off Smile
