I sprayed mine using the halfords paint and they came out pretty good.

1. sand them/scratch the surface using sand paper/wet and dry paper.
2. Apply about 2/3 good layers of primer. (i used grey primer for black)
3. Allow to dry for 24 hours.
4. 2/3 coats of black paint.
5. Allow to dry for 24 hours.
6. Lacquer them untill they have a gloss finish.
7. Allow to dry for 24+ hours.

Make sure you take your time and only do thin coats of paint or you will end up with bubbles and runs. Just follow the instructions on the tins and you shouldn't go wrong.

Another thing, make sure you leave the paint to dry well enough before each coat. I found it went a bit odd and bobbly if you don't.

Ff you do mess up just start again. Want until dry then go back to sanding them down.

I can only recommend getting them done properly...(I am a motor dealer after all!) They will look good and last.

It looks as if you are just up the road from me in Epsom. I am sure that if you can take them off the car, my paintshop will paint them for the cost of materials for you. contact me if you are interested.

I paid £9 for the materials to do mine. If a paint shop could match that then it would be a no brainer.
