I don't feel that it's any different at all except the steering!

For me, there's no difference in accelerator response whereas theoretically there should be......and I haven't noticed any change in the exhaust note either.

Or, as I said above, perhaps it's just me...... Razz

Is yours different when you hit the button Dave?

Mine is transformed with the sport button pressed; I drive in sport 90% of the time (except when it's sheeting down Wink )

On another note. Want a R56 's' for my next car. I have read that the standard turbo can only take up to 200hp standard. Is this true? So if you had a sports cat, FMIC and a remap, surly that would get over 200hp?

Well mine did. Will does quite a few R56's so I'm sure he'd have said something if it was an issue!

My convertible was running at around 235-240bhp with a remap from Will along with a downpipe, intercooler and air intake. A remap alone will pretty much put you over 200bhp!

No idea if it causes much harm or not, but remapped R56s are fairly common...

Quite keen on getting my SD Clubbie remapped? Has anywhere here done this? Does anyone have experience of plug and play boxes, such as Tunit, or should I head straight for Evolve or P-Torque for a remap....?

Also, it's an auto - will this affect anything?

Thanks

My R57 which I had remapped was an auto (petrol though). Doesn't cause an issue. I don't know of any remapped SDs, however a few people have had remapped Cooper D models with a noticeable improvement.

Generic maps are not a good idea on the MINIs, cause lots of problems, so best to go for a custom one from P-Torque or similar.

CrazyJ, as you are located in Hampshire why not give Luke at Minicraft a call, they are in West Sussex and Luke will create a custom map to suite your requirements.

I totally agree with Solarin, I had no end of problems with the generic map Evolve put on mine; Luke has now worked his magic and after a few teething problems transformed my WC50 into a monster.

I would not recommend Minicraft if I did not believe in them myself Very Happy

Thanks Garry - I'll give Luke a call. Your WC50 certainly sounded like a monster at Goodwood! Cool I wonder if Luke could make my oil-burner sound better than its current Ferguson tractor grumble..... lol!
