PostSubject: Protection for black alloys   26th October 2012, 08:51

Hi

OK,,,, so rushing to work this morning (woke up late) I have managed to catch one of my black alloy wheels on the kerb whilst parking.

Yes I know....!

The damage is very minor, but so was the contact with the kerb.

I seem to recall seeing some sort of plastic over rims that fit round the edge of the wheels.... not sure what they are called, has anybody got any further idea (or know if they are any use)??

Hi

I seem to have found a product called Alloygators (great name) which look like they might be quite good...

Not sure I could fit them myself, but there does seem to be a company in Kingston who fit them...

Still need to know if they are any good

I can only find good things said about them online.. So going to get a set put on tomorrow.

Hopefully it will cover up what I did this morning, and reduce the risk of it happening again.

I will let everybody know what I think of them once they are on

Sorry but I think that They look horrible and most wheels don't have an edge like that to bang the trim onto?
