 Bumper repairs

Hi guys. Long time since my last post but hey!
Has anyone used a bumper repair company they can recomend. Need to repair a split rear bumper but weighing up the options of either buying a used one or repairing it. Any help and i would b most grateful

Never tried but only issue I can see is bumpers have a certain amount of flex in them and would a repair take this away?

I'd guess the flex is to absorb minor bumps....!

Its such a stupid thing. The mrs was reverse parking really slow, and a wooden pole was there. And she caught it right where the crash barrier ends on the mini so it poked through and split the bumper

My wife had a minor accident earlier this year which put about a 4" crack in the rear bumper. When it went in for repair the company doing it said that if they did repair it we'd be taking it back in no time as it would split. So we had a new bumper, don't know if it was them just tryin to get more cash out of the insurance company, didn't seem fly-by-night cowboys as they had Porsches, ferraris etc there being done. So it really backs up what Dave said.
