I'm aware they do that, but the clubman can't be much bigger than the 5 door or it'll be the size of the countryman. It strikes me as being a bit like the 5 series GT - a hatch that's not much more practical than the saloon and a lot less practical than the estate - resultantly you see hardly any of them

The new Countryman will be bigger than at present so there is a market for the Clubman, it will be a bit longer than than a hatch.

Am really looking forward to seeing these in the metal. Think I'd best start saving now! In the quest to find a replacement for my Clubbie have driven almost all the small cars out there and there are many that are nice to drive and look great too but there is just something about a MINI. Thankfully circumstances have changed at home so I can keep My Clubbie for a bit longer.
BMW have to keep up with the market and not stagnate otherwise it will be in the same situation that The Rover Group was back in the late nineties.
