Hello all.

I know this is a common fault but I have yet to find a fix...

Basically - When i'm in traffic the engine management light comes on and the car needs to be restarted to get it back to normal. This is very annoying as I do a lot of motorway driving and the M25 is like a car park!

I've taken it to a garage who flushed the oil tubes and gave it new oil. I've heard it could be due to the belt tensioner is loose or the thermostat is broke

Is it worth buying a tensioner thingy and seeing where that gets me?

Cheers!

Hi Taylor, welcome to Surrey new MINI Very Happy

Give our sponsor Will at TWG a call, he might be able to give you some advice over the phone, or if not you could probably book your car in with him - he's based in Camberley Smile
