once you pay for your car they dont want to know you. i am glad the staff at work are all mini lovers and put a lot of pride and care into the cars.
trouble is untill you need service you never know how good or bad it is so its a gamble for the customer

Your spot on Rob and very lucky to have MINI lovers there! That will always make a tremendous difference! Just need to get the road repaired now! Laughing

I went to Vines on Slyfield Today OMG that road is a mess. I need to get my Car sorted it makes a really loud squeak at Idle.A tech had a look at it and seemed to know what he was talking about. Its booked in for 11/03. Hope its a better experience than Barons. Can it be any worse

I dread everyday, it's totally out of order that the council can leave it like that.....

Last year our H&S manager contacted the council to be told...........

"We have put warning signs up so it optional to drive on the road, you could always walk or ride a bike"

about 4 or 5 guys at work have made claims for tyre or tyre & wheels and have been paid out Shocked

Hi Rob,

Thanks for that The initial contact and diagnostic visit went well anyway, The people I dealt with were pleasant so I have hope. know there is nothing you can do about the road I was just shocked by the state of it.

I will let you know how things go

As I said I work on the estate for for a national company and our HR dept have been told it's been resurfaced at the end of March beginning of April Shocked It seems Surrey Council own it from the lights down past the Merc dealers to about the VW dealers then it becomes private Rolling Eyes

So fingers crossed it's done thumbs up

The owner of the road could be found via the title deeds if Vines owns the Freehold of their premises or the lease may state if the leaseholders have to contribute towards repair of the road. I bet there is a freeholder of a few factory units /industrial units keeping his head below the parapet if the leases are silent about repair. Sorry if this is surveyor speak!!

If this is fact I don't know scratch

If a freedom of information act request is make then Guildford BC would have to confirm or pass the blame to someone else . If it is them then they could be forced to repair as a Health and safety matter.

I would just like to personally apologise for the service that some of our customers have experienced at our service department.
These comments have not been ignored; the whole forum has been forwarded on to our customer relations then onto our dealer principle.

Currently our customer relations team is dealing with all of these complaints and the service department have been made aware and amendments are being made. There will be a slight jiggle around with the service managers from both our Hindhead branch and Ash also.

I hope that our members of our BaronsMINIClub and future members will continue to join our events (the next one will be confirmed shortly) and enjoy the benefits that come along with the club.

Thanks Again

Mark Lewis

Hi Mark,

I wrote a letter to Barons back in early Feb outling my "Service" experience and to date I have not had even the courtesy of an Acknowledgement.

Just been into the service centre to find not only a new manager but also new owners Shocked

Only happened in the last few days and all senior manager are in a meeting today with new owner I guess Surprised

Showrooms in Farnborough which were only leased have now been brought for 16 million Shocked

I heard that maybe the service centre may return to Farnborough from Ash Vale when a new purpose built workshop is built Exclamation

I was told the new manager (Mark) is a do'er and gets thing done & sorted Smile unlike maybe the old ways Surprised

I am watching this with interest! I am not keen to take my car to Sunningdale for any future work and although Farnborough is a drive for me I could be interested if things improve and they are working to keep customers happy! Very Happy
