Have you noticed when you take your car in for a warranty query and say they do it under the warranty, you get no details in writing of what they have done! Why is that? I am gonna give em a tick off sheet hopefully they will fill it out!

Yes this is it T! No prisoners now! They either sort the car or I will go elsewhere for the sort, then begin some sort of proceedings! maybe even get back to S8rah on TM? she was doing a group effort for pushing hard with a complaint about the death rattle issue! There were quite a few on the list too! I think since the dealers began to takle note of the problem and address it, the group thing waned a little! But there are still some dealers not going by their own guidelines and are being obstinate with this fix! I mean we are talking about £30 min for the part plus a couple of hours labour at the most (so why do they need it for 2-3 days) ! May very easily fit into a small claims court and the attatched publicity with it I might add!

Rob, I had no paperwork from Vines either when mine went in under warranty. Just the invoice for the loan car.

I didn't get paperwork from Vines Guildford when the rattle was fixed on Bee either. Presumed that this was because they hadn't bothered to keep me in touch with progress and then I had to rush down there and pick her up before they closed. Think we should be given paperwork relating to works carried out whether under warranty or not to keep on file.

I agree Gilly, but I didn't get anything on the Toyota either whenever that went in for warranty work, even recalls. I don't think it's right but certainly not uncommon.

Scothall = Rubbish My dad was in farnborough the other day and said he saw barons (i think he said barons) He said it was massive. Are they any good? |

I can only agree with what has been said about Cooper Tadworth previously in this thread. I bought my Mini, a used one, from them in April this year and it's been back one or two times for relatively minor warranty/rectification issues, I did warn them when at the time of buying it that I was extremely fussy (Oi! Who said anal!? ) and that it would be back within the month! (In actual fact it was back within the week as the roof decal I requested had been damaged during the fitting) Anyway I digress... I work in the motortrade myself (another manufacturer, not for any of the BMW/Mini franchises I hasten to add) so find it interesting to see what it's like on the 'other' side so to speak and would find it extremely difficult to fault the service I received at Cooper Tadworth (sales and service dept.) The only slight annoyance I had was finding a few dirty fingerprints on the interior 'A' pilar plastic trims from when the faulty heated windscreen was replaced, although to be fair to Coopers I'd imagine the screen was probably replaced by an external contractor and not directly by their workshop. 9 out of 10
