No point in using the Tardis on the carpet as it wont work effectively
Ive found the Chemical guys orange degreaser & a touch of snow foam works a treat.
I advise using a Pressure Washer instead of a hose due to the force of the water against the dirt and get an underbody lance and you can do the top of the wheel arches with ease ...BE WARNED they are very powerful - I had one of these but happywith just a normal pressure washer.
During the winter use wet the arches first then spray, Aggitate with the vikan brush & then rinse. Summer use you can do on dry arches.
Then i find every few washes a spritz of Chemical Guys v7 helps keep the the dirt off/remove it easier
Wheels are next
Well all depends on how dirty they are and whether you have protected them before ?
Lets start from scratch clean them properly and protect them
Briefly rinse the alloys to get them wet
1)Spray Alloy Wheel with : Chemical Guys - Blue rim and wheel cleaner - allow to stand for 2-3 mins
If the Alloy is really caked then break out the :
Chemical Guys Diablo Gel :
(WARNING THIS IS VERY STRONG so use sparingly !! but very effective )
2) Brushed up and in With :
EZ Detail brush
SwissWax Detailing brushes (for all those nooks & craines part round wheel bolts etc)
The foamier the better
3) Rinse with Pressure Washer VERY well ensuring that you get all the product off !
4)OPTIONAL IF YOU DO AT THIS STAGE OR WHEN YOU DO THE WHOLE CAR - Clay any remaining baked on really stubborn brake dust bits off - to ensure the surface is smooth and clean of any contaminants
5) Rinse with Pressure Washer
OPTIONAL IF YOU DO THIS NEXT OR WHEN YOUVE COMPLETED THE WHOLE CAR & DEPENDS IF ITS HOT!! 6) Dry off with a soft thick slush Microfibre cloth - and ensure very dry no dribbles or will spoil next step
7) Apply Chemical Guys WHEEL GUARD WHEEL WAX SEALANT with microfibre pad - Apply Wheel Guard liberally - better protection - allow it to haze
8) Buff with soft, microfiber cloth. ( apply two coats to wheels when applying wheel guard for the first time for added protection )
9) Seal with Chemical Guys JETseal109 :
Pour a small amount onto applicator or microfiber pad and apply to Alloy Wheel in a thin, even coat. Jetseal109 will bond with clean paintsurfaces within 15 minutes. Once removed allow 20 min. time and apply a second layer to assure even coverage.
10) - finally) Dress the tyres with
Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel and a tyre dressing applicator pad :
: Key is initial application then you just top up
Best way to do the initial application is to get a spray bottle half alcohol half water and rub down all exterior plastics really well so they are clean and set a good undercoat. then use a foam or microfibre applicator pad to apply the gel - i find the microfibre best as you get and even spread and buff to a shine and it will then dry quickly. its important to clean the area well for the for the initial application (with the alcohol) as it will make it last ALOT longer and then you can just keep topping up when you need to onto of the base coat of gel .Good thing about Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel is that it is water repelant, beads very well, lasts months not days and it doesnt catch all the horrid grime and dust etc like other products
Before :
After :
(pics aren't great but you get the idea)
you can alter the level of shinyness by the amount you put on :
little blobs = matt black look Medium thickness lines = matt - wet look thick amounts = wet and slick
can also be used on tyres and is safe !! hydrates the tyre wall
DONE !
It may seem lengthy but once this whole process is done the protection is spot on then you will simply just just the Chemical Guys Premium Blue Wheel and Tyre Cleaner aggitate with the ez brush and Swissvax brushes and rinse ! Then once the protection wears off repeat
The Blue rim can be diluted 50/50 for more cost effective use & even bought in gallon containers for me more cost savings - http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/valeting-and-bulk/chemical-guys-premium-blue-wheel-cleaner-gallon-/prod_931.html
Then pre wash - Snow foam
DO THIS ON A COMPLETLY DRY CAR - NO NEED TO DO A PRE-RINSE OTHERWISE THIS MAKES THE SNOW FOAM WATTERY - UNLESS CAR IS FILTHY ie winter driving THEN SOMETIMES HELPS TO LOOSEN DIRT!
Im yet to try as need to use my espuma supplies up first but i have it on very good sources that this is the next best snow foam as vert eliniantes the need for the shampoo stage.

Another alternative to snow foam lance as my waxamono one only lasted a yr of weekly use.
We have searched long and hard for the very best quality foam lance on the market and in this new Heavy Duty Foam Lance we really believe we have found it.
Constructed from a solid brass body it oozes quality which feels satisfyingly solid. Even the extension pipe is made from zinc and fits directly onto a Karcher pressure washer like any other attachment.
The nozzle can be adjusted for the pattern of foam delivered and the valve on the top regulates the chemical dilution rate.
Using this foam lance combined with a suitable shampoo and ideally snow foam it is possible to produce a very thick layer of foam which clings to the surface of the vehicle encapsulating, softening and removing dirt making the wash process much safer and more efficient (and fun!)
Max Pressure: 200 bar Max Temp: 60°C
We stock a wide range of adaptors for most pressure washers on the market. Simply match the adaptor below to the coupling on your pressure washer and select from the options drop down and we'll send the right foam lance to match your machine.

Directions
Pour in the desired amount of snow foam into the bottle (usually depends on how thick u use it - it is intended to run off the car & not jst sit there!!!! Normally with the espuma approx half should do one car & full should do 2) I normally dont bother adding water as it gets mixed with the water from the pressure water & normally add a couple of squirts of Chemical guys maxi suds to ade the snow foam.
The width of the spray can be adjusted by turning the end nozzle. The wider the spray angle the more coverage on the car you will get. The strength of the mix can be adjusted by turning the top dial. To add more water to the mix turn the dial to the plus (+) symbol. For a stronger mix turn the dial to the minus (-) symbol.
You just need to buy the right connecter for your pressure washer make/lance make
Be sure to ... when you have finished using the lance to empty the contents of the bottle fill will warm water and re-connect it to the pressure washer and blast / clean out the lance until no suds project from the lance as you don't want it drying and clogging up - needs to be done everytime you use it no matter what prodcts you put in it

Drying
Ok .... Drying
Now the key here is location and tools
1) Avoid washing a car in direct sunlight - will dry very quickly and leave stubborn water marks 2) Buy CR*P and you will end up with lint fibres, smear marks and water marks all over your vehicle
Ok after the car is hosed down and all washing and claying (bath time) etc has been carried out you want to make sure it is bone dry for the polish, waxing, sealing and protecting.
Option 1 - ( quick and 99% no steak finish)
Ok first way is the quickest and best in my opinion takes 3-5 mins if that !! and that is an electric car dyer. There not cheap at £200 but get into all the knocks & crannies at towel cant get & prove after you think youve got dry wih a towel you hvanet
I have the Metro vac airforce blaster or the metro vac vac & blow :-
The airforce blaster has permantely fixed hoses with clips but the vac & blow doesnt require the clips as just push fits & the hoses do go togther to make an extension.
Some modern paint finishes seem to be highly susceptible to marring no matter how carefully they are treated, and drying them off after washing poses two key problems. Firstly, there is always the danger when working outside that fresh airborne contaminants may settle on the car after rinsing off. Wiping the car dry with a microfibre drying towel can then result in these contaminants causing marring as they are trapped by the towel and then drawn across underlying surfaces. Secondly, as paint is dried off, all lubrication is effectively removed, meaning that the friction between the towel and the paint increases. This in itself can be enough to cause marring on some paint finishes.
The solution to both problems outlined above is to cut out any wiping of the paint. It is possible to pat dry a car using a microfibre drying towel in only a little more time than that required to wipe it dry. By not wiping, any fresh contaminants are not moved around over the paint and towel friction is reduced to a minimum. A further option that cuts out towel contact and any risk of marring completely is to use an air blower to dry the car off. Dedicated vehicle dryers work extremely well in this respect and this is a method we have now adopted into our own wash routines, as we believe it significantly helps to reduce the risk of inflicting defects during the drying process.
A tool like the Metro Vac Air Force Blaster is certainly an indulgence, but it works incredibly well and vastly outperforms lower cost options such as domestic leaf blowers. With a bit of imagination, it can also be made to serve many other useful purposes too; we use ours to not only dry the vehicles we detail, but also to blast polishing dust out of door shuts and scoops, and blow dust and debris out of interior vents and seat runners. Combine all of this with the smile it will put on your face and it becomes a priceless bit of kit to have. Detailing just got a whole lot more fun!
The Metro Vac Air Force Blaster is a highly effective vehicle dryer; it features a powerful 4 hp dual ball bearing motor and twin fan drive that delivers a peak airflow rate of just over 330 mph! The air being drawn into the unit is fully filtered for additional safety and then gently warmed by heat from the motor, thus aiding the drying process. The Metro Vac Air Force Blaster comes with a 3 m heavy duty hose, a non-scratch neoprene blower nozzle and three additional attachments, including (i) an airflow streamer (for drying large panel areas); (ii) an airflow maximiser (for blowing out door shuts), and; (iii) a precision micro-nozzle (for directing the airflow into tight spots and crevices). It is also supplied with a five year return to base warranty.
HOW TO USE
The Metro Vac Air Force Blaster is a power tool and as such carries potentially serious health and usage risks that should be fully understood from the outset; please read the supplied instructions carefully. To use, wash and rinse your car normally and then, starting from the top and working down, use the Metro Vac Air Force Blaster to blast residual water off of the panels, paying particular attention to panel gaps and crevices around trims and vents. Try to work as quickly as possible to avoid other areas of the car drying off before you get to them. We find that keeping a PB Luxury Drying Towel to hand for a little bit of pat drying here and there is also very helpful, as you will inevitably re-wet some panels with a little bit with spray coming out of panel gaps and crevices lower down the car.

Option 2 ( the more lengthy process )
Hose the car down wards towards the floor to create sheeting action for the water to follow then place a soft thick waffle waeve towel onto the larger surfaces of the car i.e. but 2-3 of them. 1 on the bonnet, 1 on the roof and 1 draped over the boot
I recommend using waffle weave first as they absorb the most moisture - DO NOT RUB THE SURFACE WITH THESE!! leave them to soak up the water and ring out.
I use these : Eurow X Large Waffle Weave Microfibre Drying Towel - 26" x 36" : http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-and-drying/huge-38-x-28-microfibre-drying-towel/prod_154.html
Once these have drunk the majority of the water up now is for the water left over ! it is important to ensure that you are using something very soft so as not to create more swirl marks and so that you are buffing to a shine at the same time so as to avoid water marks
Start with the
Chemical Guys - Miracle Dryer Ultra Absorbent Towel 25" x 36" : http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-and-drying/miracle-dryer-ultra-plush-25-x-36-/prod_362.html Super soft and plush : soaks up water a treat after the heavyish bits of water left behind up the doors etc
DoDo Supernatural Drying Towel 48" x 26" : http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=64&products_id=576 Towel like effect removing the other lighter bits of water left behind :
Finally ....
Use the Dodo Juice - "Soft Touch" Premium Drying Towel : http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=64&products_id=553 clears up the little bits left over and dribbles you get from the mirrors and it has buffing fibres to ......buff to a shine
Claying (THIS STEP IS ONLY USED IF INTENDING TO POLISH & SEAL) (IF JUST USUAL WASH THEN SKIP TO DRYING SECTION)
Ok here goes
OPTIONAL IF YOU DO WITH THE CAR WET & DEPENDS ON HOW HOT IT IS. I PERSONALLY DRY BRIEFLY AS MAKES IT TO SLIPPERY WITH CAR WET.
DoDo Juice Range : Supernatural Clay X3 Bars, DoDo Gentle Grey and the Best Clay Lube EVER !!!! DoDo Juice Born Slippy !!
ONLY use fine grade if you are polishing by hand as Meduim-Hard is for Professional detailers really that machine polish after and you can easily C**K up your paint a good'n if its not used properly
and REMEMBER : LUBE LUBE and LUBE - you cant over lube - Lots of lube = NO MARRING on paintwork. ITS HIGHLY RECCOMENDED TO GIVE THE CAR ANOTHER QUICK WASH & DO YOUR FINAL HOSE RINSE HERE
ACCESORIES (WASH MITTS)

To keep these in tip top condition i highly reccomend a spritz of this & allow to dry b4 you use
Chemical Guys Polish Pad Conditioner
LUBE IT OR LOSE IT. Protect your paint finish and your Pads with Chemical Guys conditioning foam and wool pad lubricant.
Machine polishing is easy if you know a few tricks that can reduce friction and you’re your work time in half. While machine polishing, the pad appears to move easier and produces better results once you break it in and use it for a few minutes. This is mainly because the pads a dense and new it will take several minutes for the glaze, wax or polish you are using to work into the foam or wool pad... Making sure that the pad has enough product in it is key because using a dry pad on a paint surface or any surface for that matter can do some serious harm to your surface.
Using a pad that is dry on a surface without any lubricant or product is referred to as dry buffing and plain and simple, it’s not a great idea. Friction from dry-buffing can lead to you creating fine scratches and dullness or even burning the paint.
Chemical Guys POLISHING PAD LUBE & CONDITIONER creates a situation that allows your pads to become more receptive to polish by opening the foam’s pores allowing then to better absorb and utilize the polish, wax or glaze you are working with. The light conditioning lubricants inside PPLC add extra surface protection by reducing dry friction while polishing. Chemical Guys POLISHING PAD LUBE & CONDITIONER works with lubricants in the products you are using providing extra needed lubrication to protect against micro-marring and the possibility of burning paint through friction
Chemical Guys POLISHING PAD LUBE & CONDITIONER will also extent the life of your pads. Friction is your pads worse enemy because dry buffing can tear the foam. Using Chemical Guys POLISHING PAD LUBE & CONDITIONER reduces friction so the pad will be less susceptible to tearing.
Chemical Guys POLISHING PAD LUBE & CONDITIONER is all product friendly, meaning that it will not in any way interfere with the performance of any polish, wax, sealant or wax.
Chemical Guys POLISHING PAD LUBE & CONDITIONER can also be used as a finishing spray or a quick touch up spray. Enhanced lubricants will remove left over wax and polish reside while also removing stubborn films from paint and glass with a simply wipe of a microfiber towel. Achieve the perfect buff and the perfect finish with great ease, with ChemicalGuys POLISHING PAD LUBE & CONDITIONER.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
1.Lube your pad before you use it! Preventing dry buffing is made simply with Chemical Guys POLISHING PAD LUBE & CONDITIONER.
2.Simply spray pad evenly and generously prior to pad use.
3.Chemical Guys POLISHING PAD LUBE & CONDITIONER can also be used as a finishing spray or a quick touch up spray. Enhanced lubricants will remove left over wax and polish reside while also removing stubborn films from paint and glass with a simply wipe of a microfiber towel. Achieve the perfect buff and the perfect finish with great ease, with Chemical Guys POLISHING PAD LUBE & CONDITIONER.
Cloths

Hand Polishing
I assume (and please correct me if im wrong) that not very many people use a machine polisher ? i.e speciality cut pads and dual action polishing machines etc etc ???
So i have picked the best 'By Hand' polishes, that i use (and i have tried quite a few)
Both of these are great : being Chemical Guys naturally and best of all they dont leave any white dandruff flakes like are AutoGlym SRP (even when tiny bits are applied )
1) formulated with UVA and UVB light absorbers to block the damaging effects of the sun while protecting your paint 2) reduces static charge so no horrid clingy bits 3) these pictures say it all : http://www.chemicalguysuk.com/Wet_Shine_Mirror_p/wetmrrr.htm

Black Light Radiant Finish has a fully synthetic nano blended formulation with a massive emulsion of gloss enhancers coupled with the new bi - blend technology that leaves one crazy slick finish

We think the 3 years of research have been well worth the wait .
Black Light was originally released for sale only in Thailand as a 1 year test study... the results were amazing. In order to test products under various climates and conditions, a series of products were sent to the UK and Thailand where further testing would be conducted on 2 very specific products, Hybrid V7 and Black Light. To say the least, we were very happy with the results.

G-techniq C1
The ultimate paint or grp coating. C1 Crystal Lacquer chemically bonds to become the new surface layer of your car/boat/ plane giving unrivalled UV resistance, dirt repellency, easy clean and swirl resistance. Lasts up to 10 times longer than dealer applied products. 200m2 per L.
Where it proved to offer the best gloss retention of any other product tested. Over a simulated run of 3 years Arizona sunlight a C1 coated panel lost half the amount of gloss than its next best competitor and 1/3rd less gloss than the average score for all other products tested.
But gloss retention is only part of the story. C1 offers the following additional benefits:
Extreme Durability: Unlike regular polymer sealants, C1 actually becomes the functional surface of your car's paintwork. It does this by swapping part of its molecular structure with the surface molecules of your car's paintwork. This is a true chemical or covalent bond and as you can imagine this is a much strong bond than a physical bond which is how regular polymers and waxes adhere to your car's paintwork. In tests C1 outlasted dealer applied sealants by at least 10 times.
Scratch Resistance: C1 forms a sub micron cyrstalline film which is extremely hard. This characteristic makes c1 extremely effective at preventing minor scratching from poor wash technique on relatively soft automotive paint. We have run tests comparing c1 coated panels with uncoated and against panels coated with various high end carnauba waxes and polymer sealants. On average c1 coated panels exhibited 50% less marring.
Water and dirt repellency: C1 is a biomimetic coating. It mimics the repellency of plants that repel water and dirt in order to keep their leaves clean. The most commonly cited example in nature is the leaf of the lotus plant which if you examine under an electron microscope looks like this. C1 works in a similar way as shown below
G-techniq exo
EXO offers sensational surface functionality and protection and an exceptionally easy application process. EXO works on very wide range of substrates including paint, gel coat, glass, metal, fabric, stone and perspex.
Based on the next generation of inorganic organic hybrids it embodies our goal to offer products that work harder and smarter meaning more time enjoying your car/boat/plane/RV and less time maintaining it.

Pre wax Cleanser
R222 Paintwork Cleanser Polish (best one ive found)
This product is an extremely effective non abrasive paint cleanser polish. It chemically cleans the paint without the need for abrasives, leaving a fantastic shine and a smooth surface, ready for the rest of your detail to be carried out. Its gentle formulation will remove ground in dirt, atmospheric pollutants and light marring from your paintwork.
This product is extremely easy to apply and remove, and this coupled with its effective but gentle non-abrasive formula means that it is fully suitable for regular use. R222 Paintwork Cleanser is fully clearcoat safe and can be used on all paint colours and finishes.
Then
Dodo Juice Lime Prime Cleanser for heavily swirled paintwork (or see below for or the lite version for reguluar well maintaind paintowrk)
Usage
To use, simply apply Lime Prime to a washed car panel and either remove immediately or leave to buff off. It won't dry out into a caked on layer, even in hot conditions and the micro-abrasives in the juice will have helped remove oxidisation and minor swirl marks!
The cleansing agents will have removed all the grime and old wax with the oils leaving the surface as slippery as a slippery thing (Dodo Juice suggest a greased salamander, but I'm not quite so sure...).
Now the paint is cleansed, grab your favourite Dodo Juice car wax and wax lyrical!
Lite Version Lime Prime For Soft Paint or Pre-Polished Surfaces.
As with Lime Prime, Lime Prime Lite contains powerful cleaning agents and glazing oils designed to give slickness and gloss. However this "lighter" version has all the micro-abrasives removed so it’s perfect for machine-polished surfaces or soft paint, where further cutting action could be a hindrance rather than a help.

Metal Cleaning/Sealing
00 Wire Wool (Ultra Fine) or Bronze Wire Wool Ultra Fine (which is better as its less abrassive) and Borla Exhaust Cleaner seal with FinishKare 1000P Hi-Temp Sealant (melts at 250oC + used on aircarft etc)
Clean with :
IF YOU CANT GET HOLD OF THE BOLAN PRODUCT SEE ALTERNATIVE BELOW
Metal polish i.e for exhausts etc ! I know it is very hard to get hold of Borla Exhaust Cleaner (i am running low and having difficulty getting some ) next best thing Chemical guys extreme metal shine - Make Metal shine! The smoother the surface, the better the shine as it allows more reflection of light from the surface.
Metal Mirror-Makes metal shine like a mirror while keeping it shy longer and protecting it against the harsh elements.
Plastic Trims/Wheel arch trims
I've tried Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel but feel it doesnt last that so have swapped to this. Only issue im having is apply is fully clean!!! Ive have deep cleaned when washing & then used panel wipe but still getting dirt coming off when applied
So now on to this :
Autofinesse Revive Trim Dressing
Autofinesse Revive trim dressing is an easy to use, durable satin finishing gel formulated to bring life back in to all exterior plastic & rubber trim. If your looking for a product to bring life back to trim with minimal effort and lasting results Revive is the product you have been looking for.
250ml Bottle
Directions for use:
1: Shake well before use. 2: Ensure surface is clean and thoroughly dry before application. 3: Using a foam or microfiber applicator apply to the surface working in to the grain small sections at a time. 4: Leave to cure, if necessary remove any excess with a clean cloth.
Other suggestions are
The gtechniq c1 as previously mentioned
Enguine bay
Clean with a good APC ( all purpose cleaner in a squirty bottle ) i.e the citrus shampoo as used ^^ and spray it on agitate with a detailing brush - i.e. the swissvax (the small one as detailed ^^) ones then get a damp cloth and wipe of the cleaner.
MAKE SURE you cover all electrics with cling film and tape or tin foil !! if the engine bay is really bad use some Chemical Guys - Orange Degreaser as detailed ^^ dont use Bare Bones thats for the undercarriage of the car.
Then seal with Swissvax Motor Shine.
Motor Shine seals the engine, accessories, ignition cables, hoses etc. It protects them from corrosion, moisture, salt and water splashes. Motor Shine remains permanently flexible and lets the 'as new' gloss of your engine come through. 400ml
Ok now for the soft top Hood Cleaning and Protecting
Renovo Cleaner ( Very Good ) and Porsche Cabriolet Roof Protectant - creates good thick sheild from bird poo, sap and water etc etc - lots of beading
Snow Foaming wise i wouldn't recommend getting it on the rag top when washing and ensure that you have protected the roof before you start the foaming fun - just encase any bits spray goes on its head
Best bet would prob be to buy some of those cheap thin plastic decorator sheets you can get from B&Q etc about £3 for 10-15 sheets, place them over your rag top head and shut the doors on them to ensure they stay put that way. Then u can snow foam your car aswell with out the risk of getting any on the roof
Pollen Duster:
So be extra careful when washing the car and especially drying it - dont want to be rubbing it into the paint work
Time to buy your California Car Dusters ( Extra soft - Brilliant i have one )
SOME REALLY HELPFUL TIPS/QUESTIONS ANSWERED/EXPERINCES ETC ]
Mini S Mad wrote:
Right question time - In no particuluar order (some may be really stupid
Also prob more to come but these are the only one i can think of the top of my head at the mo
1) When you have snow foamed do you need to dry the car or just leave wet/damp in between doing wheels & wash. do wheels first.
2) If you made up some snow foam & you have some left over, does it store ok in the bottle for next time
Have to throw away
3) Whats the best way to wash the dodo cloths after use. Machine wash with a mircrofibre wash either chemical guys or sonus
4) Whats the best way of drying the inside of my dodo wash mitt. The outside has dried perfectly but inside doesnt seem to want to dry & dont want to ruin it!!
Ok little trick for drying the Wookies Fist : after throughly rinsing place in the washing machine on SPIN ONLY - then take out get an empty coke bottle the smaller ones and place in inside to keep it proped open then place in the airing cupboard : once dry brush the 'Fur' with a fine pet combe/brush and Ta Da fluffy and ready for use

Fantastic post and thanks for all your hard work. I will now be bankrupt buying all those exciting products!
Why dont you ask MM magazine if you could submit the post (after a bit of editing) for inclusion as an article in a future edition. Many other Mini owners apart from those in Surrey would be grateful for all this information. They may even pay you a fee!

Ok ... Here we go Glass :
Glass Treatment and Cleaning
After cleaning your car properly the glass prep and finish should be one of the the last stages
1) it doesnt hurt to clay the windows - especially with tree sap etc sticking to them - this can be done through out the washing process IT IS ADVISABLE TO CLAY ON FIRST INITAL APPLICATION OF THE BELOW to ensure you have a clean slate to start on and the protection works effectively
2) Ok start off with the Polish I recommend either Sonus Glass Polish or Zaino Z-12 Clear-View Glass Polish
These can be applied with either a microfibre cloth/pad or a machine polisher.
3) So you have your freshly washed and clayed windows - apply either of the above to the inside and outside of the windows in a circular motion and allow to stand so it creates a haze on the windows. Less is more on the application ! put too much on and you will just end up with white dandruff looking bites everywhere
4) Using a soft thick microfibre cloth buff of the haze to a shine the Dodo Juice - Supernatural Buffing Towel is brill for this
5) Now you have freshly polished the window you need to protect it from : road film, haze, dried on insects, water spots, stubborn bird stains, and that annoying interior glass film that you have just removed. so thats where this comes in :
The XtraVue - Nanofilm Wand :
Increases driver vision by upto 34% during heavy rainfall Repels rain to improve vision, makes snow and ice easier to remove Forms a barrier to bugs, bird droppings and tree sap making the glass easier to clean Lasts upto 1 year (with the correct maintenance)
To Apply :
> A final wipe with some IPA alcohol is recommended IPA Alcoholic Wipes can be obtained from nearest computer store Maplin sell them at 47p each of you can buy a box for £5-6 or a spray can at £7
> Gently squeeze the applicator with a pair of pliers until the internal glass vial breaks > Once the sponge is wet application can start > Apply in circular motions, making sure the glass is completely covered > Allow upto 5 mins to activate > Wipe off excess with a clean microfibre towel (a short pile glass towel is best) > This is a "One Use" product, once the product is activated it cannot be stored for further use > For best results apply to cool glass in the shade.
To maintain protection
avoid strong glass cleaners and PH neutral shampoos
Glass Cleaner i use is :
Chemical Guys Streak Free Window Cleaner ( which can be diluted for extra value and so its not to strong to effect the Xtra-Vue Wand )
Apply with Glass Waffle Cloth i use the Dodo Juice - "Mint Merkin" Waffle Weave Glass Towel
stand back and admire
