Just been for a little drive, to break up writing my boring assignment, and I went to turn down the radio but it wouldn't. The volume control was twisting but the sound wasn't going down. I stopped, turned the car off and on again and it was fine. I'm wondering if this a dodgy wire or just something random? Can anyone shed any light on it for me

I'm not worried about it, it's just a bit odd and didn't do it again afterwards.

Very strange, can't comment here as I usually use the steering wheel buttons for the volume

Yeah I do too, I don't know why I used the twisty thing today really - sort of wish I hadn't now, then I wouldn't know something was up.

I think I've heard of someone having a similar problem before, can't remember who though. You have sat nav don't you Nik? might be worth taking the panel off and back on again, just to make sure the connections are ok

pmsl its not difficult you know where your knob is (pardon the expression ) and the buttons for skipping tracks etc, on the end of there, theres a button like the eject one on the cd drive - just press it and the little panel will pop out (its where your sat nav disc is hidden ). just pull it off and then put it back in again

Oh, I thought you meant take things apart properly! Can you believe I have had the car two years and have always wondered how the sat nav knows what to do! I will have a fiddle tomorrow, thank you husband.

Ah yes, I see where you mean! Thanks! And I don't know what you mean about not being surprised!! Michael was laughing at me on Monday, he was asking me questions about the car whilst I was driving, and my reply to most of the things he asked was 'the book's in the glove box have a look', I just get in it and drive, he wasn't impressed!

Cruise control, what's that?! Nah, I know how to use that! Michael was talking about traction and 'a' buttons or something, he tried pushing them but then got threatened with having to walk!

When Katie got Belle I told her to take some time on first day to flick through the owner's manual. Since then she has asked me umpteen questions. Did you read the owner's manual? I ask. No, she always replies. Must be a PRINCESS thing.

Manuals are boring, we have better things to be doing, and pestering boys with questions is much more fun!

Nik I think there are some bugs in the software with these cars! My heating plays up now and again not blowing up or down but turning the car off and on will get it back to normal! Same with the windows not shutting properly! I don't think they are connected, but I do think that the R56 software plays up a little! I wouldn't worry too much unless its happening all the time!
