Sorry for not getting on sooner. Anyway I just fitted it and it was a doddle after all. Once I realised what I was looking for it took about 5 mins. I was talking to Andy before I found this thread, and he pointed me the way of that link Max. Didn't really need any tools, just gave the large trim surrounding the bonnet release a very gentle tug away from the side and all was good. The connectors were a little hidden but once located, they came out quite easily. Tricky part was separating the white connectors. They were pretty firmly connected. Very easy to actually fit the loom, and easy to put back into place. Once the trim was clicked back into place I had to make sure the rubber seal was in its correct position, and not tucked under the trim. Sound quality is excellent, a major improvement but I havent tested the bluetooth side of things yet. I will try to soon Andy and let you know if it's practical or not.

Only had a chance to test it briefly. I'm shattered after my hectic few days! But so far the sound feels a lot more natural, and not forced if that makes sense. I'd say it's perfect for me - I don't want a massive sound system but now feel I can turn the volume up without the risk of the rear speakers trying to replicate a fart whenever they're asked to deal with a bit of bass. The front ones seem to be able to cope with what's required of them too.

I find to listen to anything I have it on +6 all the time, really does sound poor otherwise! Altho that may just be the kind of music im listening too!

Maybe - but I always felt that anything above +4 would cause the 6x9's to have a fit!

Right. So I gave it a good test just now whilst running Dad to the bus stop. The sounds is a LOT better, bus obviously still restrained by the Boost unit. That said I can't really ask a lot more as I don't really need a lot more. I tested it using Chicane's Poppiholla and was able to increase the volume far beyond where I could before, with my bass settings now at +6 and Treble at +5. The Fader is currently set to /\3 (Front 3 which of course is now actually Back 3). As for the bluetooth telephone, I found its an improvement out of the rear speakers. Sometimes when using it I would lean forward to try and hear it whereas now with the speaker just behind me, I find I don't need to move forward any more. Either way the effect on the phone is non existent so that shouldn't worry you Andy.

Pfft all this talk of channel swaps etc, just get yourselves a convertible, then you don't need to worry about the radio. With the roof down on the motorway, you won't be able to hear a thing no matter how loud it is
