got the car back and was then asked to step into a side office and told I've cost them too much money and that nobody like to deal with me

I never heard from the dealer and spoke to MINI UK who chased them up......

In future Dave, you should consider giving wood a try, i havnt had a problem with them so hope they would be the same for you.

To be honest as long as you are now happy with the state of the car, I would leave it there. They are obviously at fault or they wouldnt have fixed it, walk away and find a better dealer.

I was just talking to my boss about this, and apparently businesses can do it unfortunately. We can refuse to sell someones house, although this sounds like they've realised you will pick up on all of their mistakes and don't want to know! Typical MINI dealers!!

It is really bad. Have you thought about contacting MINI UK about it? Although, you might be better off away from them - not that I know where else you would try.

Dealers love customers who never make a warranty claim, and come back every couple of years for an upgrade without haggling

They hate people who notice and insist on fixing warranty faults, and who notice defects in workmanship.

As tehy openly admit, it cuts too much into their profit.

I won't be going there for my servicing then.

Your last issue is a point in case! Absolutely disgraceful service. The car was in a terrible state!
Nobody would have put up with that mess, unless they were either blind or preferred their car returned worse then it went in!

TBH Dave you are better off without them! And I am gonna support you by boycotting any further dealings with Barons as from now!
So lets find a better alternative that can give decent dealer service that we all deserve!

I think a stiff letter is needed to MINI UK tho! Possibly the media? Might as well make people aware of their shoddy service!

They could have saved money at times. If they had cleaned your car properly in the first place then it wouldn't have cost them a full valet later on.

I was shocked when I saw this earlier Dave, and I think Rob summed it up saying you are better off without them. At least you know now you don't have to worry about poor service from them in future.

Well done for standing your ground, and glad Marmite2 has been sorted. Can't really add anymore that others haven't already said.
