| S'up guys So my Alta 4" aerial finally arrived from Lohen, thank you guys... Quickly unscrewed the old radio control car aerial and screwed the Alta in and fired up the radio. Overall, it seems ok, noticed it being slightly patchy when I was parked near a tree and it did fade in and out slightly, on a clear road it seemed fine, now I don't often listen to FM stations as I usually use my iPhone through the AUX/USB but I do listen to TalkSport and 5Live on MW and they seemed ok as well... Just curious to whether anyone else has noticed any slight signal problems with their Alta's ?? |

| I've not had any issues at all with my super short. Except at Roehampton where Radio 1 gets interference. But I got that with old aerial and the Auris too. |

| Yeah they do davenport but I think you need the gen 1 ariel as it has a wider diameter thread. I'm not 100% though. Lohen have info on their website I think on which one you need. |

Good point Andy, Terry phoned Emma @ LOHEN and she said the Gen 2 could have a 5 or 6mm thread so best to check Alice's is a 5mm which in theory is suitable for the Gen 1 |

| OK so this aerial is starting to wind me up, fades in and fades out quite repeatedly wherever I drive, same with AM reception, might have to speak to Lohen about this and at worse revert back to my old RC stock aerial or look elsewhere than Alta |

| So I rang Lohen and they kindly said try extending the thread I didn't even know u could do this, required an Lily-Allen key and made it about 1 1/2 cm instead of the 1/2 cm originally, will see if this makes a difference... If not, they said they will exchange it - shame if I have to bcos it looks tidier than the own RC aerial .( |

Yes, I have one, and don't have any problems at all... I use DAB Radio and had no problems with reception... |

| OK - so after a week of usage, reception still has not improved. I have increased the thread length to the max connecting the aerial to the base and it still is incredibly patchy. I don't know if this is just me being fussy but the old RC aerial was never this bad... Gonna contact Lohen now to exchange it - gonna try the @ " CravenSpeed 'The Stubby' " instead and if this is no better, then I will have to look elsewhere, unfortunately, real shame bcos it looks so much better but I can't handle patchy and non-existent radio, especially when the football is on lol |
