Well I have had my mini coupe for almost 3months now and it's just getting better and better. I have put my parents, brother and sister on my insurance, so they can experience it as well. My sister enjoyed it so much she has bought herself a countryman (the coupe being too small as a family car). I have had winter tyres on my coupe over the cold period and it hasn't let me down. The car is near perfect, with just one thing bothering me. I would like to have a water temperature gauge and possibly a oil pressure/oil temperature gauge as well. I know I can get a genuine auxiliary water temperature gauge, does anyone else have any experience of after market gauges and also the genuine ones? Thanks Elz PS I have Mini connect on my iphone, but I usually have the sat nav or ipod screen up.

Defi gauges offer this. I know Lohen do them, and Peter who used to fit for Lohen has set up on his own in Exmouth. I know he's fitted them before - may be worth trying him for fitting if he's cheaper...

Hi Moon,Thanks for your reply. I checked out the Defi gauges on the Lohen website, very nice indeed, exactly what I'm after. Do you know anything about the Craven Speed gauges? http://www.cravenspeed.com/mini-complete-gauge-kit/ Have any BMW Minis ever had oil or water temperature gauges built in to the dashboard? Thanks Elz

No idea about the craven speed gauges, but I have seen the actual Defi gauges and they do look good. I find the gap between the rev counter and the OEM gauges to be far too big (personal thing). They also don't light up as far as I know. First gens had a water temperature gauge, and I believe an oil temperature one if you had the cockpit chrono pack. |

Thanks Inked. I saw those on the mini genuine parts website, in fact that's what got me thinking. I have been online checking out youtube videos that people have uploaded showing auxiliary gauges and the clear winner is the Defi gauges, they have some nice features with them. Moon, can you pm me with Peter's contact details, I think it's worth speaking to him and getting his opinion on all options. Thanks Guys

Hi Paul, if you do buy them, any chance I could help you install them and also check them out at the same time?
