| Right, many of you know that I am keen to replace my front and rear bumpers with cooper s bumpers. My question is, when I declare it to my insurance company, what do you think they will put it down as? Thinking body kit? Even tho its not and its genuine parts? Just after an idea really, going to call them tomorrow but don't want to be messed around like they have done before by putting modifications in wrong catergorys. I'm with admiral. |

| When I put the Cooper S bumper on my Cooper D, my insurance co didn't put it down at all if I recall. |

That sounds good considering that they charge 17.50 to add mods to your policy anyway (admin charge)- apparantley. Ahh well if its expensive it will have to be put on hold |

| Admiral wanted £20 when I changed my alloys. Depends on the insurance company but might be worth being careful how you word it. I'd say that they are genuine MINI parts first, then mention they are from a different model |

| Pretty good price. Bumpers are easy to fit so you can do them yourself to save some money. |

| At that time, I was with Zurich Connect (who no longer exist) and they said as it was Genuine MINI parts, they didn't need to know. But they wouldn't cover any non MINI mods. Now however I am with Greenlight (totalMINI sponsor) and have all my mods declared and they have charged £25 admin fee for each declaration. |

Sounds like they were good in that respect but not in the other. Do Greenlight have a discount for forum members? So 25 for each modification or each time you add to policy? |
