| Hi Anybody tried to hook one up to a Mini yet by bluetooth?? I would imagine that Mini will produce a new Y cable at some point,, but then I also notice that Apple are selling a connector that basically converts the old style iphone connector to the new one,, so that will hopefully work anyway. My car gets built next week!! Goldie |

| Hi Good news that IOS6 works.... as you say there should be no reason in that case why it wont work. Got mine at lunch time, very impressed with it - mind I was coming from a release day vintage IP4 (which was dead on its feet) Hear you about the adaptor |

| I'm not convinced it will. I tweeted this MacRumours forum discussion earlier this week http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1441537 which discusses this article: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13746_7-57511834-48/iphone-5-new-ipod-may-leave-some-cars-in-the-dust/ The crux of it is that the new port outputs purely digital signals, but the Y cable needs an analogue signal to send down the headphone jack cable, and a digital one down the USB part. The thought was that possibly, audio would be ok but control via the stereo might be lost using the adapter. However speaking to someone on Facebook earlier, he said his steering wheel controls worked ok for volume & skipping tracks on his facelifted car with Visual Boost, iPhone5 and the Lightning - 30 pin adapter with his existing Y cable. |

| Hi A thought comes to me about this anyway..... do you guys physically connect your Iphones all that much anyway? I am thinking if it bluetooth connects for calls and such, that's enough. I would rather have some sort of Nano (yes I know the connector on the brand new version of those is new too) or Sandisk thing hooked up with music on it, and leave it in the car 24-7. ??? |

| Ok, got mine - tried it today. Bluetooth works fine but if you use the new iPhone 5 cable in the mini it doesn't recognise the iPhone. Don't have an adaptor, but let me know if you want me to try anything. |

My phone was connected every journey. I use it for my iPod on almost every trip to work (more so now Moyles is gone), and connect it via bluetooth for the handsfree phone. - GoldieJCW wrote:

???
I actually did just that and got myself a refurbished Nano. Originally as iTunes match was causing me great issues getting podcasts on my phone, and that my phone was always full. But it means I can get a 5 when the time comes and not worry about not being able to control and connect my iPod, although as I said yesterday it appears that fear might be a red herring. |

| They should do it a discounted rate to be fair to MINI owners who have brought a car in the last 2 years We will have to see how good their customer value and service is |

We will have to see how good their customer value and service is If they really think about they could offer an exchange for anyone that's got a mini within the last yr or so & then sell your exchanged one at a discounted rate- win win They so do a discount but doubt they will |
