Hi When I have the radio on I like to have the info screen on - so that I know what song is playing (very useful on PlanetRock when its some album track or another)... Is there a way to get this screen to 'stick' so its there after the car has been stopped and started again?? I am guess not,,, but thought I would ask Goldie

I didn't even know you could get that station info screen up. Often I end up wondering what is playing on Planet Rock in the car. Usually if I'm driving I try and remember the lyrics, write them down when I stop, then Google them at home. Not very high tech

Hi I knew that it should be possible because on our family Volvo that info is always up when listening to a DAB station... It seems odd that you have to drill through three screens to get to it on the JCW, still at least it is there.

Kudos for playing Planet Rock in your MINI. Shameful that most UK DAB, outside the BBC, is now 1970's spec, offshore, AM style, mono. |

I had no idea this was possible, i thought you were limited to the list of stations! I did wonder if it could be done as it always shows on Renaults, Seats and many others!

Yes, always have DAB on full info display. Until that is, I get annoyed at the lousy mono sound and switch over to the ipod.

I'm not saying there is, just that by 2014 broadcast technology has moved on. This seems by the regulators to have been ignored, favouring quantity (of stations) over quality. Low bit-rate, mono broadcasting in the second decade of the 21st century? Shameful, though happily accepted by the vast majority, most of whom would never accept the same if TV were still 405line monochrome.
