 | Subject: Engine revving 2nd January 2013, 21:16 | |
| Excuse me, if this is a rubbish description but I'll try my best! Pulling off from a junction today, foot still a little on the clutch, I noticed and heard the engine revving louder than it should have been, I took my foot off the clutch and accelerator and it was still revving to about 2500rpm, but it wasnt going anywhere even though it was in 1st gear. I changed then into 2nd and it stopped and went back to normal - this has only happened once and the car had been sat for over 8 hours, so it was very cold! Any ideas?? Dee |

| Hard to say... I'm wondering if the choking/vacuum system had a leak/stuck slightly _________________ "Life's too short not to!!" |

I'm wondering if the choking/vacuum system had a leak/stuck slightly Could this also be a cause of a slight engine cough? again happened once on the duels, doing about 70-75mph |

| Might be worth connecting a code reader to see if any of the many sensors have registered a pending fault. |

Strange isn't it, I know it's not my driving or that I nearly stalled it or anything! The car did it, all by itself! |
