Hi everyone, hope you are all well. Need to give my mini a good clean this weekend as it is Filthy!! Just wondering what the best product to use the clean the black plastic trim above the wheel arches. I dont want anything that is going to make them go shiney though want to keep them matt. Also whats best for wheels and exhaust? Thanks J

Check this thread out, been tried and tested by many of us. It's long but gives some good information on products. https://surreynewmini.forumotion.com/t1195-proffesional-cleaning-guide-chemical-guysdodo-juice-etc-lk I had a real problem with one of my cars the black was virtually grey. Tom (TK Detailing) put some magic stuff on them and they are now very black again and have remained so all through winter. Send him an email to find out what he used. For wheels I use Bilt Hamber auto wheel cleaner which was recommended on here and for the exhaust autogleam (not that I clean my car that often but I know a man who can aka Tom).

I like my black matt. BMW own label is good or autoglym bumper care is very good, cheap and lasts quite a while.

I seem to have a slight OCD with car cleaning products... That's just drying and polishing cloths....

I use poor boys sealant on the wheels, which I find is excellent stuff and makes the wheels a lot easier to clean. I have used autoglym products but am currently using waxtec which Tom at TK has recommended and the forum get a discount from them.
