Ok I am in danger of making my head explode through blooming configurator over-choices here. I had decided to add visual boost to my current order because I like the interface. It's £495 since I already have chili pack. However, now I notice that media pack is only £995 cobined with my chili pack - so I am guessing I am wondering if the £500 is worth it to have the integrated Nav and Connected? Currently I just plug my Garmin in on a mount. What is MINI nav like? Is it still disc based? Any views from current media pack owners welcome.

I have the media pack in my JCW and the satnav is one of the best Ive ever used and having been a courier in the past I've used a few!! It is still disc based. The only issue I have with it is that there no iPhone 5 connector so you cant use all the functions. This is due to be resolved shortly by MINI but its been a long time coming. The Harmon Kardon hifi system is also amazing.

I have built in nav and it gets u to where u need to go. Bit annoying though as it only lets u input a post code, the road name and number option isn't highlighted for some reason. Bar that the head up display combined wit all the other media options u can scroll through is good. A tom tom nav beats it hands down but then u have to faff about setting it up. Im in 2 minds to weather the nav option is worth the price though.

| Ho hum so one loves it one is not sure it's worth the extra £500 - I hear connected is just a gimmick after the first few plays?

I didnt buy my JCW new and the media pack etc was already in it. Would I spec it from if I was buying a new one........??.......hmmmm.....I not sure that I would. As I said, I love it now that I have it, but would I miss it if I didn't....I couldnt say for sure. If you have a Garmin satnav at the mo, I'd keep it and save the £500 or put it towards the Harmon.

I have media and alo find the nav to be very good and above all it's there when needed Is yours disc based Michael as mine is USB via the dealer. My last 2 were disc based Also it is certainly better than a few years back IMO... Above all I prefer the dash with it, also no rings on the windscreen or worries of it being stolen! So you could say I'm a fan

I'd say add it as you'll probably find the car is worth £500 more when you sell it as sat nav is supposed to be a huge selling point...

I have noticed that on mine but I have only ever entered a postcode and have found that it is really accurate and taken me exactly where i needed and a number hasnt been necessary. I am going to Barons at Farnborough on Thursday to test drive a Paceman JCW, (not to buy, they have one in and asked if I wanted to drive it) so I will ask them about the address and number bit. The traffic info on it is good, as is the p.o.i

Right I went for Media Pack after having strong words with dealer, who originally said it would add £26 per month. I pointed out this was higher than 3.9% interest on the retail price and took no account of GFV being affected. They rechecked and surprise-surprise had 'made a mistake' so I am happy to report it is only adding £15.84 to monthly payments due to the increased GFV of the car with Media Pack added.
