I'm sure people have replaced them with custom inserts in replacement of the MINI one, whether you can just buy the MINI insert I'm not sure though!

Here's a couple of links, I'm not sure if the Gen1 & 2 badges are that different? But you don't want a Cooper S one as slightly smaller than yours. Just search on eBay for BMW MINI badges.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bmw-mini-badge-/231101715537?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35cebc5451 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bmw-Mini-R50-R52-R53-Cooper-One-or-S-2001-2006-Bonnet-or-Hatch-Badge-Emblem-/251372043596?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a86f0fd4c

What's the best method for removing and replacing a badge? Hot air gun I presume. What sort of glue do you need to fix the new one?

You can warm it up or use dental floss, double sided tape for fixing....

If you get a new one you wont need glue as they come with double sided tape and you just peel and stick and there is also some locating pins so you cant stick it on at the wrong angle
