I have full gravity leather seats in a dark blue. Does anyone know where I can get some stuff to clean up and repair slight scuff marks on the bolsters? Thanks

No one? Surely someone has repaired a scuff on their leather seats.

I've only had one car with full leather and got shot of it in 7 weeks so didn't get round to giving it a proper clean. I've heard of a company called something like furniture clinic who do repair kits. I've never done it myself so can't confirm if it's any good, but it isn't too expensive. I saw the guy doing it at a show once and it looked easy enough but...

James, I've spoken to them and Scuffcoat. They want me to send them a sample. When I said I didn't think there was any trim to cut off underneath, scuffcoat said to post them a headrest. When I said that I lived in France and that would be expensive his reply was that I would be adding hundreds to the value so it would be worth it. I tried to explain this was a modern Mini, not a vintage Rolls Royce so nothing would be added to the value but it was like talking to a wall. The chap at furniture clinic was far more understanding and explained why they needed a sample (to match the colour after it had faded and been bleached by sunlight). Just wondered if anyone had a colour name or number so I could get some original colour. I'd try that as I think it would be better than scuffed bolsters.

Dave, perfect, I'm chasing them. The link for prices goes to Amazon but the product isn't there. I've tracked down the manufacturer (they're a retailer) and asked if it will be OK if not a perfect match. Thanks, I'll let you know the results.

I have ordered stuff from the Leather Repair Company. Leather Repair Company Unit 3E, Beacon Industrial Estate, Withernsea, East Yorkshire, HU19 2EG. Tel 01964 614006 Young lady is Carolynne and was very very helpful. I've told her she can have a pay rise. Stuff's on it's way to the office in Sheffield and will be brought over week after next. I will probably be well enough by then to apply it and I'll report back.

I'll be interested to see how this goes, as I have a few scuffs on the leather bolster of my driver's seat that I'd like to get sorted.

Only thing I'm not sure off is they haven't matched the colour. Carolynne was happy about that so we'll see.

There are a number of videos on YouTube from various companies. Most are leather furniture based but works with all leather seats. I bought a kit at the classic car show for my old MX5, results were not that good but I didn't spend that much time on prep.

Thanks HBS. Due to problems with my back I haven't got round to doing this. I have the Caterham to finish (probably 3 weeks work), the underside of the Mini to paint, a new, old (1977 S3), Land Rover to refurbish and then I have to service Lynne's Honda. So some time in the next two years
