I've noticed this fault has occurred on other members minis, I tried lubricating the window channel runners whilst it made a small difference they still squeak, I've now booked it into to Chandlers before warranty ends. Chandlers said over the phone it may require new regulators fitted, has any one else the problem cured and what did they do.

Yes sounds like regulators. A new pair should fix it. _________________ TWG Automotive Website

I had a squealing drivers window on my Cabrio, it wasn't the regulator, but they did something to/replaced the guide clips or something...apparently its a known thing as there is an internal BMW PUMA Report for it

Hi supa dupa That now the cars in Chandlers they phoned today and mentioned something about they had to order guide clips, I will know more hopefully tomorrow, so looks like you are right. Update: After checking the paperwork they also fitted regulators as well !

Not so good news the car has to go back next Tuesday to Chandlers it looks like they may have inadvertently broken part of door trim clip during the repair, trim now keeps popping undone on the door handle

Yes Roger its just the distance to go that's the pain just to rectify the door trim, Chandlers did also changed the front number plate because the original looked so faded. |
