Just wondered if anyone has come across this before. Not much joy on a google search.
Now I know the R56 MCS is prone to the odd rattle
and I can live with most.
However this one is starting to get to me.
It manifested itself last month then stopped, but is now back with a vengeance.
It only happens when accelerating past 2500rpm up to 3500rpm then changing gear (so revs drop back down) or holding around 3,000 RPM. It seems to be coming from deep in the dashboard or below the speedo.
The wife managed to capture the fiend on a recording (while I was driving) which I have uploaded as follows (after 10 secs it really stands out, and this is the sound you get every time you change gear between 2500-3500)
Any help pointing us in the right direction before I get busy with the spanners would be of great help
