Only experience I had was last when considering buying a F56, talked to a couple of different people but neither inspired me with confidence and I was basically told take it or leave it, not the thing you want to hear when parting with a big wedge of money!! But your market is reduced if you want to buy a GP2 as not that many dealers with them....

I do know a dealer who is looking for good stock as hardly any used... Might pay good money for a nice F56 like yours! Pm if you want details...

I looked at the GP2 over there and although it has low miles there are quite a few marks and scratches on it. Which they didn't seem too interested in getting fixed for me as part of the deal. Also Dave is right about their trade in values. What they offered me for my BMW was nearly 2,000 under what another dealer offered. Apart from that the car was awesome!!

Yeah there was a big on the rear bumper and a few others. My wife says I'm fussy, which is true but when you are paying over £20k for a 2nd hand car it needs to be right in my mind. Saying that I'm sure that a decent detailer would get all the marks out but it would cost around £250 to do so it was the principle that they wouldn't entertain sorting them for me that I didn't like. But don't let me put you off the car it's fantastic in every other way. And I would've more than likely bought it if it weren't for the low trade in value on mine Also watch them with their apr's on the finance as they were trying to sting me with 14%!!

I am very scared of getting a trade in value on mine. It'll probably be something insulting like 14.5k

Sadly options don't retain much/any money. Chilli pack adds a few hundred, leather a couple of hundred at best (nothing for punch because it's very poor), but other than that it's dead money. You would obviously get a few hundred more for a really high spec but sadly that's about it. Unless they've got someone wanting your exact spec. You'll probably find at 3 years old you'll get around 10-12k based on 8,000 miles a year. Buying new and selling at a year old is a guaranteed way of losing a fortune sadly

Mine is actually pretty option free tbh - i don't even have chilli. Its one of the things i'm annoyed about in hindsight. I should have put a bit more into the options, but thats hindsight! I'm going to test drive Slough's GP today to see if its a car i really want before pursuing the options.

I'm pretty sure number 1 is owned by MINI and he just means it's one of two thousand. Steep price too? The one at Slough was actually pretty mark free - maybe they've tidied it up since you went to see it?

The one at Slough was actually pretty mark free - maybe they've tidied it up since you went to see it? The guy obviously think he has the first one built The reason i posted it up is to get a comparison on 2 similar cars price and condition! |

I use them for all my after sales work on the Coupe, having been recommended by vickietots to do so after I fell out of love with all the Cooper dealers more local too me. Steve has always been excellent, and never hesitates to get the technician out to speak to me to explain anything in more detail if needed.

The one at Slough was actually pretty mark free - maybe they've tidied it up since you went to see it? I guess that they must have tidied it up a bit as the marks/scratches on it, especially the ones on the rear bumper were very obvious. Mini at Bedford rang me as they have a GP too and without even seeing my car offered me a lot more than Slough. This is the link to the car. www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201505023134125?atmobcid=soc4 I am not going to proceed any further with a GP, as for me personally, I don't think it's an every day car and will now possibly concentrate on a new jcw or the civic type r. |

Fairly happy with the valuation they gave at Slough. It's still on the cards just thinking it through
