| I’m really disappointed with the new badges. Super picky I know, but the wings have come from the new logo, but the rest is from the old? I’d wondered how they’d make it work in the metal, and to me it doesn’t look loke it has. Those lights though! Interested in the clubman version of them! Not ruling out an LCI in future if the BMW foray doesn’t work out. |

| I've always thought the new branding was a bit weak and poorly thought out, and wondered how it would translate into actual badges on the cars. Now we know. Not convinced by the new colours, but will need to see them in the metal. Feel they've missed a trick by not borrowing Valencia Orange and Long Beach Blue from BMW, both of which I think would look stunning on a MINI. Really fancy going and trying a Cooper S with the DCT though to see what it's like, as it's strongly rumoured that it will be in the GP3. Also no news yet of the rumoured 300bhp JCW which MINI have been teasing us with. |

I love driving my 8 speed DCT, it goes to 7 speed in sport mode. So smooth and fast in changing gear and I prefer it to any of the VAG DSG boxes I've driven. |

| The LCI isn't much different is it (I'm pleased as I can't keep changing my car to keep up with current) I would like the UJ rear lights on my F56 though I wonder if they would retro fit easy? It's not clear if UJ is standard or there are just new lights basic and then UJ? I like the new orangey colour very nice |

Ah Steve, thats the 8 speed version of the Aisin torque converter (rather than dual clutch) box I had in the JCW. The DCT arrives in the LCI, and has the 'Park' button like BMW rather than sliding the lever into Park. Even my car does't have the DCT, it has a ZF 8 speed - only the M2 gets the DCT and some people on the BMW forums prefer the ZF box to it! |

| Got a look up close at an LCI car yesterday on the MINI Challenge stand at Autosport International. 1) Rear Lights look great! 2) Badge looks good on the rear, not so much on the front, and unchanged on the steering wheel. 3) Couldn't notice anything substantial inside, but the car was locked 4) Black Grill Surround on a Moonwalk Grey JCW - where have I seen that before? |

| The autosport demo had the secret compartment cover that also had LED colour changing lights on it in a decal shape of Union Jack which is cool I really hope can retro fit them UJs rear lights on my F56! |

| I just contacted MINI Uk to check as I have a diesel so was interesting to find out. The Cooper Diesel Hatch will still be available from March (yay) but the SD will not be. Whatcar also just tested the hatch diesel 2018 with the new DCT in it and said it was a breath of fresh air to quote them. Oh and the 1.2 petrol is being ditched |

| Look what I found I imagine if you have a current f56 with leds the new UJ light should retro fit easy Looks like part numbers are 63217297414 and 63217297413 from website below as says from 03/2018 but them part numbers are the current led... confused https://www.etkbmw.com/bmw/EN/search/selectCar/F56/HC/BMW+Cooper+D+B37/ECE/63_1557 If they are only 154eur that's not too bad to keep the car fresh until 4th Gen comes out

Ah I thought there wasn't a DCT for the Mini..... good to know Steve likes the 8 speed Asin box.... I have the same in our CMS collecting on Saturday..... I loved the ZF box in my 335 BMW and up until recently thought the ZF was in the Mini also...... it felt very similar when I drove the demo! |
