| Haha you need to have the rears set as DRL's too, then you still get to keep the front DRL's on as well as the rears, rather than it switching to the side lights I bet they do look good on a dark colour like yours though! I definitely want them, so might have to treat myself soon |

| I’ve never understood why DRLs didn’t include rears, seems stupid to me! |

| Some pics of mine in the dark lol: Yes I definitely would like them all on all the time! A note for anyone changing the lights over, the chrome trim is very delicate!!! I may get my chrome wrapped black or just buy the official black surrounds from MINI |

| I've alway wondered why they never made DRL's rear as well Dave, I know some manufacturers do now, but it would at least stop some of these numpties driving round with no lights on at all in the dark! They look great! If you want them coded as rear DRL's, I can do that with Bimmercode too |

| One of the dealers, I can't remember which, posted on Instagram yesterday that they'll be available as an official MINI retrofit from July, presumably with all the coding sorted as well. Can't help feeling that they've missed the boat a bit, given the take up for them already. |

| I feel bad now for saying that lol Turns out that was Sycamore MINI they say in July they will be able to retrofit without any warning lights so looks like they will be the first to offer this unless other dealers do the same before |

| Exactly and I'm rather fond of the lights out "bong" sound haha although the yellow warning triangle bugs me so would like to sort it out. I've asked Rybrook if they have any news as they are so helpful. I keep having cars pull up meant to be next to me but holding back and staying where they can have a look at my rear lights lol I've seen a guy in Japan on Instagram code his UJs for the indicators to sweep they look so cool |

| Rybrook say official MINI UJ retrofit comes in July They don't know prices yet or prices for just dash light but will let me know A R56 owner beeped at me on busy road today and said he loved my lights lol I thought someone was beeping at my driving until he started to speak then quickly realised he was complimenting lights! I told him I got them at my mini dealer but I don't think he realised he can't get them for a R56! |

| Will be interesting to see what the official retrofit includes and what sort of prices they're looking at. Haha that's cool, I'm not surprised they attract attention, I saw an LCI on the road last week and they looked great! |

| I should just buy some cheap universal light warning canceller thing from Eurocarparts see if that turns the warning out. I need them off before it has its next service lol Drove my car up the M3 to Southampton today showing the lights off lol! MINIs are fab on the motorway! But I stupidly left my side lights on yesterday all day because I wanted the rear lights on and they don't come on in Auto mode when it's not dark out! Luckily the car started fine when I got back to it and noticed I had left them on for 8.5 hours! Yeah I wonder what the prices are when they are official, they are bound to vary quite a bit just like the lights. Enjoy the lights while you can I say as this time next year they will be common on the roads boo hoo |

| Haha oh dear, luck your battery didn't go flat then, although as they're LED I guess they drain little power - did the warning not sound when you opened your door? I bet they will be expensive from the dealers, I've asked Mulgari when their's will be available too and they said soon: - Mulgari wrote:
- Hi Ian, Very close. We have designed the control module system to run the rear lights and they are currently in production. Two units per car mean that we are having to manufacture a large number of them to meet the demand. As soon as we have the delivery dates ill be sure to let you know.
I've also asked about price, but no reply yet |

| Just spotted this over on the F56 forum - Quote :
- No need to look into any other app - you can do this in Bimmercode. I've got the UJ lights installed, and coded out all of the error messages. I'm a beginner, and it was quite easy. You do the indicator lights in basic mode, and do the brake lights in expert mode:
When adding new Union Jack tail lights to earlier Gen 3 cars...
Coded the indicators in the basic mode - to not monitor and set to LED.
Then, Stephan from Bimmercode gave me the following to do in expert mode:
BL_R_IS_LED => aktiv BL_R_WARMUEBERWACHUNG => nicht_aktiv BL_R_KALTUEBERWACHUNG => nicht_aktiv
BL_L_IS_LED => aktiv BL_L_WARMUEBERWACHUNG => nicht_aktiv BL_L_KALTUEBERWACHUN => nicht_aktiv |

Yeah you need an OBD reader and then the app, which you have to pay for too. TBH it's probably not worth spending out the money just for this one thing, if you were going make lots of changes then I'd say get it (or Carly), but it's probably easier to just 'borrow' someone that has it - PhilT wrote:

Good luck, let us know how you get on |

| Ian do you have bimmercode? I'll pay you! Mulgari got back to me as they have now got the lights for sale with no error message As much as I love these guys the price is far too high. - I am happy to confirm that we have now completed the pricing and the first batch of lights and controllers are due for delivery to customers in the next 10 - 14 days. Pricing for the supply of the rear light units and control modules comes to a total of £418.98 + VAT + P&P. The control modules we have developed solve a number of issues that arise from fitting the updated lights. The fitment of the full LED lights causes a dash issue registering a bulb is out and the second is that from the rear of the car, the replacement units flicker and pulse, the module we have created removes both these issues. It is worth noting that both issues would be noted when having a UK MOT. They are a very simple plug and play fitment and can be fitted in roughly 15 minutes, no need for coding, cutting wires or any hassle. We are now confirming orders for the first batch! Please be aware that there has been a high demand for our solution, so we may not be able to supply all enquiries in the first delivery. We will be releasing more kits, so if you miss the first batch it shouldn't be too long till the next set are released. wrote:
