Phone connects to car via Bluetooth OK.
Connected App OK on USB cable.
How do you get Spotify to work? I can play Spotify tunes OK, but I don't see that app on Connected, or in the car.

What year is the car? Unless you have an LCI model Spotify only works when connected via USB, I think it just shows under the Connected menu in the car or Media menu, there isn't a Spotify app within the Connected app on the phone (assuming it's the same as the iOS app)

You need to have it plugged in then and Spotify should appear in the Media/Connected menus

It didn't when I tried at the weekend.
I wouldn't want the phone connected by cable anyway.
I think I'll keep to to using tunes on my USB memory stick.
And I won't subscribe to Spotify when my trial ends.
