I just recieved my new tax disc, handbrake and gearstick gaiters in the post
Anyone know how to fit the gaiters?
I can only seem to find fitting guides for the R53 so all help on the R56 is appreciated!!!
As i dont know what im doing i havent forced it but managed to get the gearknob off, but with the ring that holds the gaiter in place still attached. I dont want to force this as it is needed for the new one and i dont want to break it!

Sorry guys was at school so havent fitted them yet!
Will def get some pics up when they are on, I dont want to attempt the gaiters without knowing how to detach the ring or i could make a very expensive mistake!

I saw a post on tM about this recently. Personally I had my dealer do mine hee hee £10

RKDE has got back to me :
You need to remove the gear knob, you do that by simply pulling it then the gaiter ring will pull up, its only clipped in.
As for the gear knob, it pulls off too, some have an end you remove first, once that its done squeeze the plastic base of the gaiter in and push down a little, then lift it out squashed

So will give this a go tommorow!
I did get the sence of 'are you seriously asking me to advise you of how to fit a competitors product?!?!' but i think i managed to side-step it lol

Ive got the handbrake one fitted, but not the gearstick yet as not sure how to disconnect the ring at the bottom but will give it ago after some mpore research lol!
