Twenty years ago this week BMW took the wraps off of the all new MINI at the Paris Motor Show. Two decades and three generations on the original “new” MINI still appeals like few cars. But how was it received and what were the reactions?
What’s immediately clear in these videos is the considerable excitement for the concept. What then followed was massive public interest in all corners of the globe. Even in SUV crazed America there was huge interest in this small British car that barely even touched down on the continent.
