Heard today that the new owners of Barons, Chandlers, have laid of 50 people, 26 from Farnborough & 24 from Hindhead

I believe it's mainly behind the scenes people, so not really sure what to expect from now on

No, they went into receivership and Chandlers took them over earlier in the year

Same can't be said of their sales department though.

The parts are good at Hindhead then? Only used Vines for parts before.

Yeah really helpful. I needed a new brake caliper, but not one that was originally fitted to my car (previous owner had fitted newer model ones). Took a bit of explaning but in the end got the right part, they let me take a brake hose up there to make sure it was the right part.

Cool, may have to try them next time I need something!

Sytner Sunningdale rang me today regarding my GP (i registered with them when i was looking for a GP) and how was the service i was receiving from my dealer - i told them how poor Barons was and Steve stated they had gone bust - maybe why they laid off some of their staff Dave ???
