Last night things decided to go from bad to worse! My power steering isn't working, if it wasn't for my friend Mikey i would have ended up dead in a tree! there is power steering fluid in the thing, so does anyone know what i can do? Please and thank you x

May possibly need a new pump but I would check the fluid first

Pre 2005 MINI's did have a power steering pump problem and I do believe MINI UK will help with the cost as it's a known fault - I'll have a look to where I read it

Take it to a MINI dealer along with a printout of the thread you got sent. You will only need the power-steering pump and none of the other parts. That is about £500 but you'll only need to pay labour of less than £100. I took mine to Hampshire Cars in Basingstoke and Roger (yellow MINI meanmachine) took his to a local one down you way.

Sounds like good advise from Keith, Li. Hope that you manage to get Spencer sorted sooner rather than later.
