Do all R56s have ipod aux thing?

Does anyone know this?

It depends what you mean.., however I assume you are referring to the USB input... so in short No! (to my knowledge anyway)

The early R56 had the 3.5mm aux input as standard, with the USB interface being optional.

Can't confirm but mine does (I have the S don't know if that makes a difference)

Vikki's 'S' is a Feb 2009 and it only has aux input, no USB as standard at that time.

Sounds the same as Mine David, I just have a Aux lead going to the iPod

I'm sure the jack plug is standard but jack plug & USB was a extra

I think that's right. You had to opt for the basic USB to get the additional socket. It came with the cruise control option at that time as I recall. That gave you the voice activation too.

All I want is the round hole for me to put my ipod in - so all the R56s have them? (just not the usb - im not really needing that)

Yea it would do that for you and have cruise control like mine

The cruise control comes with the Multi-Function steering wheel.

You can get the original factory specification and options of MINI's from the BMW vehicle information line in Bracknell (09062 2090001) They do charge for this service (£1 a Minute) but it can be really useful. It will enable you to find out quite a lot about a car you are thinking of buying. They can also give service information, though in my experience this is not always accurate as many dealers do not enter info correctly on the system.

I have no idea were I was I was on the way to get my new car it was somewhere near Tun.Wells lol not too far from the M25...lol

Thanks! Sad to see my One go (as it was my first MINI) but the R56 is amazing, and the colour is easier to clean! yay lol

Just as an aside, if your's has the USB socket you can put your music from iTunes on to a USB stick - just drag it on there - and then you don't need to use an iPod or special lead - and of course they're dirt cheap!
