New Exhaust. Advice? Vide
PostSubject: New Exhaust. Advice?   New Exhaust. Advice? Empty14th November 2012, 12:36

Hi

The exhaust on my cooper s has started to blow slightly so thought this would be the perfect excuse to change it. Wink

Have done some looking around and have found a few of options. I'm thinking either milltek, Quicksiver (with twin tail pipes) or JCW system (although I think that might be a little pricey)

Any opions or thoughts on theses or any other recomendations?

Thanks.

Scorpion on my R53
Raspy, and pops and bangs when you give it a bootfull but not too loud the rest of the time cheers
Personal choice and price are the usual factors
A catback on it's own won't give you much of a power increase so it's really only what sound you want to achieve and how deep are your pockets...

Hi,

Thanks everyone for your input. I do think the larini is a great system but I think its quite expencive? Im leaning towards Milltek. The best price I've found is £525. Anyone get it any cheaper than that? Also has anyone fitted one? Im sure its nothing too taxing.

Agreed both of those are the nuts! But both are going to be a little bit out of my budget.

I fitted mine out on the street, wasn't too bad until I stripped a few bolts and had to drill out the old ones before adding new.
BMW gave me the wrong hangers aswell which didn't help!
If you have access to a pit or a lift/ramp then it would be a lot easier...
Good luck

Like the Milltek one & been advised its much better than the JCW one fitted to mine. Will get round to replacing whenever the JCW one dies a death ......
