Hiya , just a quick ?, has anybody used and got a result from one of these fuel treatment's for injection system . My pocket rocket has developed a miss fire at top end of rev range , but does power through it , I put morrissons fuel in it last Sunday and problem has developed since then , normally use shell or momentum fuel was desperate,. I'm hoping its just the fuel and a flush with a treatment will cure it , runs sweet in lower rev range.

Sounds like it could just be the fuel. I've never tried fuel treatment, but I've heard it's money for old rope really - a motorsport engineer explained it all to me but it went in one ear and out the other! Is your car an r53 or r56?

Never actually used one, but I know people that have and the results we mixed. Personally I would run the fuel down as low as you dare and then refill with Shell V power before you do anything else to see if that cures it. I only used shell in my cooper s when i had it and have carried that on in my JCW

Dirty fuel. Dont run it to empty because there might be dirt at the bottom of the tank. Then put some decent fuel in and see what happens. Might be worth cleaning the plugs aswell so theres a better spark.

Alright mate yes i rember if it still does it the fuel filter might be dirty. I put tescos fuel in my old car and it did the same thing and the garage found grit in the tank. Good luck

Hiya peep's , my sluggish cooper s just got worse , not used it for a week been away working , driving home from works depot today , drove the car this afternoon, took it passed 4500rpm in 3rd and 4th , just to see if the missfire still occurring , after filling it with shell , last Sunday . Started to missfire and engine light came on , also the traction control light came on , stopped the car and switched off , restarted and car runs sweet , but engine light says on , traction controll light now out , and car drives ok if you poodle about, once you push it ,it miss fires, and will run lumpy until you turn off car and restart, any ideas , thought it was fuel last week , but not so sure now , I've ordered new plugs and leads from gtt's , but they not arriving till Tuesday.

I would think the coil pack is failing underload. If budget can stretch to it I would put a new coil pack on the same time you change the plugs and leads. Would be shocked if doing all three things didn't fix it. (Engine light may need to be reset after to get rid of the light) Will
