Another poor quality part from BMW - the steering-wheel audio / phone control trim.
The black colouring must be 1000th's of mil' thin, utterly useless and not up to the job.
Is this part (a) readily available and (b) easily replaceable?

I had mine changed under warranty....worth a try even out of warranty saying poor quality...
I think Phil got some once but knowing MINI I bet they aren't cheap!
Or could try a breakers..

I did have a set, and sold them on to Lee. Have to say I never had the issues mentioned here. Had them for approx 2 years and crossed them from one car to another too.
The set on the Coupe are coming up to 2 years old and show no sign of wear like this either?

Mine was about 2 years old, it was just the left one and not much but being black the grey showed just on the edge.....
