I'm surprised we don't have a thread for these guys already. Anyway, next week I pick up what will be our 4th Mini from these guys and my 2nd JCW. They have a new sales team in place, the old Business Manager has gone also (she was rather pushy so that's a good thing). Every time we have dealt with these guys we have had a good experience, maybe I've been lucky, but the current crew are certainly very accommodating. They wanted my M135 before the end of the month so have lent me a JCW Coupe for a week or so until I pick mine up on the 1st Sept. Everything I have asked for they have tried to help me with, including the side stripes. Matt the Sales Manager seems keen to do a deal, the only negative I have is that they are a bit pricey on stuff via the parts dept. I know we have a meet & greet organised, so I'll let them do the talking after that. I know things seemed to go down hill after Andy left, but Matt (new sales manager) seems to be getting the balance right. Service dept has always seemed quite good too. They did manage to lose the key to my M135 while it was in for a replacement tyre, but they called and admitted it straight away, and for my hassle they replaced the tyre weld in the boot FOC. They have supplied us with my R56 Cooper S, the R56 JCW, my wifes R56 One, and now my F56 JCW. If they were poor I wouldn't go back

Hope they keep improving. When I called them (might have been Chiswick in fairness but it was still Berry), they scoffed and told me if I could get a better deal than theirs I should buy it because it's too cheap. I actually managed to get it even cheaper than Hexagon's price they were given. Still if they've changed people they should be able to get back on track now, a bad sales manager/business manager can destroy years of good experiences.

I brought my JCW when Andy was there and got a great deal plus the service and helpfulness made the experience first class but then Andy left...

Berry been in there several times in the past and got some fab loan cars while my previous minis were in for a service. Berry is the only dealer out of 5 that actually posted me a paper brochure when I requested it in the last six weeks!

Berry in Chiswick were quite cocky with me - if you can get a better deal then buy it. So I did - managed to get 3 prices better than theirs!

I asked Berry Heathrow for a quote when I changed mine last October, spoke to the sales manager and gave him the spec etc, he said he'd call back in a couple of days - nothing after nearly a week! So I chased it up and was told he wasn't there and didn't know when he'd be in so got put through to the area manager who also runs Chiswick, said he'd come back to me the next day, which he did, he gave me the deal and I just said you are miles out (£3500 out), never came back to me and couldn't be arsed to chase again.......

I had a personalised video message by email when I requested a brochure online from them! He was at his desk saying my name and everything. Wasn't impressed though all I wanted was the brochure lol

Haha maybe it's the same person who has clearly too many personalised messages to do each day I emailed him back to say I was going abroad for a few months and will be in contact on my return hehe

These videos are, unfortunately, part of manufacturer standards and have to be done. Same when your car goes in to the workshop - they have to send you a video health check etc. Load of faff, though I can see the merit for service!

So the Sales Manager (Matthew) has moved on, haven't met the new guy.... I don't know if it's the industry or just this dealer, but the turnover in staff is considerable...

Fairly standard for the industry. You find people go round and round. Over the past 2.5 years we must have had 4 full sales teams come and go. If not 5 come to think of it.

Well I got a call today about my paintwork. They're taking my car on Friday and I'm having a new clubbie until they're done. Quite fancy playing in a clubman....

I had a Cooper version when mine was in last time and was very impressed with it. |

Berry quote an additional £50 pm on the same spec JCW as Chandlers did. Wasn't very impressed and actually found the sales man quite rude when I said I'm sorry but if you can't match I'm shopping at another dealer. Even when I showed him the quote he just rolled his eyes.

Car sales people are funny folk, maybe it's because I'm a salesman myself, i tend to either get on with them or just say goodbye very quickly. Some sales guys just don't have the competitive edge that drives them to want to do a deal, or some are really limited by the small discounts they can give. With Berry, it does help that we have had so many cars from them that they know that I'll change it again in the next 18 months.

My MINI recently went in for a service, I give them 10 out of 10 they were so helpful, Berry seem to be far more thorough than some dealers I've been to, they fixed something they found under warranty, the car looked brand new when they got it home to me and I didn't even have to pay for the collection or delivery back of my car! They seem to have a great team and nice to know my car is 100% again. I like the video they send you by email showing the health check. Very impressed
